From sanitising hands on virtual viewings to being mistaken for a PPE-clad intruder by the family dog, London estate agents are facing brand new challenges while showing properties during Covid-19 summer. Discomfort of face coverings, masks and gloves in the grip of a heatwave, and the tendancy to scare vendors' pets, top the list of Philippa Dalby-Welsh co-head of Savills prime central London office. "But we're getting quite used to doing viewings in PPE now," she says "and interactive virtual tours will become the natural precursor to physical viewings."
