Heritage estate agency Strutt & Parker has created a brokerage team to work alongside its traditional office network in prime London. The launch of this new “hybrid” venture follows a six-month run of big-name hires, which kicked off with the appointment of Claire Reynolds as UK Head of Sales in September. The broker team (all contracted S&P employees) includes Andrew Chambers, Toby Downes, Minnie Stainrod, Zach Madison, Charles Medina, Hugh Ball, Sarah James, James Diaper, and James Gow.

Property agency OB Private has recruited six new names, including a five-strong team from Chestertons, and launched a new brokerage platform. Charlie Cunningham-Reed, Nathaniel Hickey, Harry Pourdjis, Will Bennett and Tracy Palmer all move from Chestertons’ Notting Hill office; Mark Johnson has joined to lead Mayfair lettings, following more than seven years at Knight Frank. At the same time, OB Private has rolled out a brokerage platform designed to sit alongside its traditional fully-employed business model.

Savills has installed Rory McMullen as co-head of its Private Office division, alongside Alex Christian. The move follows Jonathan Hewlett stepping down as Chairman of the specialist HNW team at the start of this year. Crispin Holborow remains UK Country Director of the Savills Private Office.

Savills has named Nick Verdi as the new head of its Mayfair sales department. He has been with the firm for the last seven years, leading sales across the City of London offices.

Former Winkworth franchise owner, Edward Foley, has signed-up to upper-end self-employed property broker platform Moveli. Foley ran Winkworth’s operation in Wimbledon Village for more than 15 years until 2018, and has been a Councillor for Merton Borough Council since 2014.

Moveli has also added Carole Bratt to its team sheet. Bratt has previously held roles including Head of Lettings Knight Frank Hampstead and Savills Harpenden, as well as 16 years within Savills’ residential division – latterly as head of residential compliance. She is now covering the area around Harpenden and St Albans as a Moveli broker.

Simon Shinerock’s South-East-centric estate agency The Choices Group has bought the lettings arm of The Apartment Company in Bath, a well-established boutique agency in the World Heritage city, set up by by Peter Greatorex in 2004. This is Choices’ seventh acquisition, as the business looks to build “a modern, professionally structured national lettings platform.”

The business was set up in late 2024 and operates across the area’s key markets including Chipping Norton, Burford, Deddington. Managing Director Emma Brooks previously spent four years at Fine & Country, and has been a regular on Channel 4 series Britain’s Most Expensive Houses.
