Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions answered…
What if I don’t want to share all my data with the competition?
You’re not required to share everything. Start by uploading the properties you wish to share, and gradually expand your listings as you become more familiar with the system.
I know my area well, so how does LonRes offer value for money?
While your local knowledge is invaluable, it’s impossible to track every detail in your area. At LonRes, we have a dedicated team doing this for you every day. Often, it’s the properties that slip through the cracks that end up being the most costly.
Agents in my area don’t collaborate, so how could LonRes benefit me?
Even more reason to use LonRes. When pitching for new instructions, you can assure prospective clients that their property will be shared with over 6,000 agents across London at no additional cost. This gives both you and your clients a distinct competitive advantage.
What if I don’t share commission with other agents?
You only need to share commission where you choose to, in fact the system offers complete flexibility so you can even choose the level of commission for each property. Property finders, who typically don’t work on a commission-sharing basis, use LonRes every day and still see great benefits.
Isn’t LonRes just for central London? Is it really relevant to my area?
LonRes began in central London in 2000, when high property values made commission-sharing viable. As property prices across the capital have risen, the appeal of LonRes has extended beyond central London. Our network includes leading agents from across the UK, whose connection to London enhances their competitive edge and helps them secure more instructions.
Will I really use the system regularly?
Our subscribers consistently tell us that LonRes delivers value and drives revenue. But don’t just take their word for it – try it yourself with a free trial. If it’s not the right fit, there’s no obligation.
Will the system just become a portal for difficult cases or unsellable properties?
Every agent has properties that sell quickly, and others that take more time. This doesn’t make them ‘problem properties.’ The benefit of LonRes is that most agents upload their listings continuously, so the system is always up to date.
How do I know my data is secure?
We take data security very seriously. All potential subscribers must be well-established and recognised in their local market. We require the names of five reputable local agents the enquiring company has worked with in the past six months, ensuring they are professional and trustworthy. We do not grant access to developers, investors, or members of the public. Additionally, we investigate any allegations of unprofessional behaviour and will terminate access for repeat offenders.
Could people use this as a canvassing tool, given the full address visibility?
LonRes operates on a foundation of trust and collaboration. We are committed to protecting our subscribers and uphold a strict Code of Conduct. Any agent found using LonRes for canvassing will be investigated, and their access will be revoked. If there’s a specific agent you prefer not to share your properties with, we can block them from viewing your listings.
