Estate Agencies & Brokerages

Knight Frank has launched a new “affiliate broker network”, and is looking to recruit self-employed agents to work under its banner in 36 local markets, all of which neighbour areas already served by existing KF branches/offices. Read more here.

Luxury property agency Beauchamp Estates is also rolling out a broker model – described as a “hybrid broker network […] comprised of both tied agents and associates.” The firm is currently looking for a “small number” of experienced agents to join the team. Read more here.

Savills has acquired Mark Tunstall’s boutique super-prime letting and management firm. Tunstall launched his eponymous firm 14 years ago, having previously set up Savills’ super-prime lettings department. He is now back with Savills, as co-head of super-prime lettings (London), working alongside co-head of super-prime lettings (UK) Isabella Birch Reynardson. Murdi van Hien, who spent 12 years at Tunstall has also rejoined Savills as a director. Read more here.

Savills has promoted Tom Reeves to head sales teams in Fulham, succeeding Emma Stead, who recently retired after more than thirty years with the firm. At the same time, Abby Tate has been appointed to lead apartments and period cottage sales in the area. Read more here.

Savills has also appointed Morgan Frewin to run the Richmond lettings team, and Aaliyah Joumana as head of lettings at its Bishops Park office. Read more here.

Knight Frank has announced a “strategic evolution” of its Private Office leadership, with Tom van Straubenzee taking on a wider Middle East brief. He will now oversee the Private Office in the region alongside his existing global role. Read more here.

Knight Frank has also bolstered its sales teams in the West Midlands regions, appointing Lucy Blythe and Daniel Hayhurst as Sales Directors in Shrewsbury and Knutsford respectively. Read more here.

Prime Central London property agency Harrods Estates is to cease trading 130 years after it was founded. The Knightsbridge-based firm is now closed and not accepting new enquiries, PrimeResi has been told. The “very difficult” decision is said to have been made in line with the wider Harrods Group strategy to focus on its “core proposition” of luxury retail. Read more here.

Strutt & Parker has recruited former Harrods Estates agents Reem Dougramaji and Michael Harte as Senior Associate Directors in the Knightsbridge & Belgravia office. Dougramaji spent 18 years at Harrods Estates, specialising in super-prime London transactions and heading up the Middle East Desk. Harte spent almost a decade at Harrods, having previously worked at Savills and Pastor Real Estate. Read more here.

Strutt & Parker has also hired super-prime specialist Alex Robinson as a director. Robinson spent the last seven years in Knight Frank’s Private Office, latterly as a partner. Read more here.

Campions Group, owner of London estate agency brands Chestertons and Chase Buchanan, has acquired top-end boutique firm Aston Chase, which covers prime North West and Central London. Aston Chase will continue to operate as an independent agency within the group, retaining its brand and leadership team, including founder Mark Pollack. Read more here.

Campions Group also picked up the residential agency division of Madison Brook this month. Set up in 2010, the firm operates six branches across London including in Bankside, Chiswick, Hampton Hill, Twickenham and Docklands. Read more here.

Luxury property brokerage UK Sotheby’s International Realty has made another raft of high-level hires in Prime Central London: Laurence Lai as Sales Director, moving from YouHome (having also held senior positions at Knight Frank); Jonny Dyson as Director – Sales & Acquisitions from Obbard; Dylan James as Director from Chestertons; Emma Campbell, also as Sales Director, from Knight Frank in Knightsbridge; Elliot Fensom as Consultant Sales Director, from Chestertons Knightsbridge. Carter Jonas has made a suite of promotions, including Oxford office head Simon McConnell to equity partner. In addition, Kirstie Watts (residential, Cambridge), Hugh O’Donnell (rural, Shrewsbury & Bangor) and Sam Ellis-Cosgrove (infrastructure, Birmingham) have all stepped up to Group Partner level. Douglas & Gordon has also signed Rafal Majewski and Olivia Beaumont as self-employed sales agents, to cover South London and South West London respectively. Majewski previously worked for Felicity J Lord and KFH, and as a self-employed agent with eXp. Beaumont held senior roles at Fine & Country, Fyfe McDade, and Battersea & Nine Elms Estates. 187-year-old real estate consultancy Bidwells has launched a new full-service residential property agency in Oxford, combining sales, lettings and new homes services for the first time in the city. Recent recruit Maxine Reynolds is in charge of sales; Nick Jones has joined as a partner to helm the lettings operation, following Bidwells’ acquisition of his eponymous agency; Iain Powis who joined the firm in January 2025, leads the new homes division. London and country property agency Middleton Advisors has appointed former Knight Frank associate Charlotte Hall to advise HNW home buyers in the Cotswolds. Read more here.

Marketing & Finance

New property industry trade body Real Estate:UK has launched, formed from the merger of the Association of Real Estate Funds, British Property Federation and Investment Property Forum. It’s billed as the “new collective voice of the UK’s real estate industry”. Vanessa Hale, formerly Head of Research & Strategy at BNP Paribas Real Estate, has been named Chief Executive, while Anne Breen (Global Head of Real Estate at Aberdeen and current AREF chair) is Chair. Property finance intermediary brand Mortgage Advice Bureau has acquired consumer body HomeOwners Alliance, which describes itself as “the UK’s leading consumer champion for homebuyers, owners and sellers.” MAB says HOA “will continue to operate independently, maintaining its brand, editorial independence and consumer-first mission.” Read more here.

Planning & Design

Auction house and property consultancy Allsop has set up a new planning division, appoiting Chris Brady as Partner to lead the new venture. He spent the last decade with Savills, rising from trainee planner to become a director. Read more here.

Real estate advisor Bidwells has recruited two new faces to its planning team in London: Tim Sturgess joins as Group Partner to lead the planning offering in Outer London and South East. He spent the last 12 years with Avison Young. Matthew Pigott has also moved from Avison Young, where he was a Director specialisingin central London and the south east. Read more here.

International design firm PLP Architecture has announced a suite of top-level promotions alongside a visual rebrand.
