American brokerage Douglas Elliman has moved into the European luxury property market. An “alliance” with three well-known super-prime agents takes the brand into the south of France and Monaco, with plans to eventually open 14 offices in the region. Knight Frank’s former Head of Private Office, Edward de Mallet Morgan, is on board as Group Head of The Private Office at Douglas Elliman. Savills has appointed Dan Martin to lead its sales operation in Notting Hill. Martin rejoined the firm at the start of the year after a stint with UK Sotheby’s International Realty, having previously spent five years at Savills. Read the full article here.

Independent estate agency Wilfords London has hired Freddie Wright to head up sales in Kensington & Chelsea. Wright has made the move from Butler Sherborne and was previously at Knight Frank. In addition, Wilfords has appointed Jessica Burns as Lettings Manager at the Abbeville Village branch, Grace Turnbull as Head of Marketing, and Chris Tuck as Head of Client Services. UK Sotheby’s International Realty has appointed its youngest director in Prime Central London. 24-year-old Jessica Moreton has joined as a Consultant Sales Director, moving from Douglas & Gordon. She previously worked for Winkworth’s New Homes division. Read the full article here.
