Strutts has also strengthened its Sloane Street-based Knightsbridge & Belgravia team with two new hires: Super-prime specialist Shereen Akhtar is now Senior Associate Director, having previously worked for Carter Jonas and UK Sotheby’s International Realty. Chelsea estate agency Farrar & Co has been acquired by LRG for an undisclosed sum. Set up in the 1950s, Farrar will continue to trade under its existing name on the Fulham Road, with all staff transferring across. Julian Chambers remains in place to lead the business. Read more
Andrew Frost has stepped up as JLL’s new UK chairman. Frost, who joined the global agency in 2011 as part of the King Sturge acquisition, has spent the last six years leading UK capital markets. Julian Sandbach, currently head of Central London markets at JLL, takes over his role while continuing to service investment clients in the capital. John Woodger assumes responsibility for the Central London capital markets business, alongside his role as head of City capital markets. Read more
Knight Frank has appointed former Crown Estate and Walt Disney Company exec Richard Ellwood as its new Head of UK Marketing, to oversee all UK marketing activity across its resi and commercial businesses, focusing on brand visibility, client engagement and communications. Read more
Savills has agreed to buy international property finance business Eastdil Secured LLC. This is one of Savills’ biggest ever deals, set to create what the firm describes as “the number two advisory firm globally for prime commercial real estate transactions above $100mn”. Read more
Savills has appointed a new head of lettings in Edinburgh: Luke Kearns previously spent eight years in the prime London arena, with Marsh & Parsons in Notting Hill then Knight Frank in South Kensington. Read more
Savills has also strengthened its national architecture and building surveying team, adding Claire Crofts as an associate director Cirencester. Read more
Lettings specialist Sharlotte Cooper has joined Douglas & Gordon as a self-employed partner in central London. She previously worked for Hamptons, Douglas & Gordon, and then Savills. Read more
Winkworth has expanded its footprint into Stratford-upon-Avon and the North Cotswolds, following the acquisition of five-branch independent firm Peter Clarke. Nick Martiny Roberts, who opened the Winkworth franchise in Royal Leamington Spa in 2024, led the deal – taking over the residential element of family-run business Peter Clarke. Existing PC staff will continue to work under the new ownership, with Peter Clarke partner Michael Hawkins taking on the role of Operations Director, and Barney Smith as Area Sales Director. The Peter Clarke branch in Leamington Spa will now operate as Winkworth Leamington Spa. Read more

Super-prime brokerage DDRE Global has made four new hires: Anthony Calder (from Savills), Christian Marks (from OB Private) and Andreea Mihaescu as advisors, plus Foysul Miah (from Knight Frank) in a new homes role – bring total staff to 55, up nearly 50% since 2024. Read more
UK Sotheby’s International Realty has hired Savills’ George Duff as Country Lettings Director. Duff spent nearly nine years at Savills, rising to associate director within the agency’s super-prime lettings team, before going on to lead the department in Cobham. Read more
National estate agency Hunters has added another branch in North London. Franchise owner Sam Sharif has opened a Highbury & Islington office following the acquisition of M&M Property, a long-established local agency that has now been folded into the Hunters brand. Read more
Super-prime specialist Chris Shaw has joined Harding Green, having served as a broker for the last four years under The Private Office and Moveli banners. He previously worked for Hamptons and Domus Nova. Read more

Independent SW London estate agency, Antony Roberts, has brought in TV presenter Amanda Lamb to “enhance its social media presence and drive greater engagement across its digital platforms.” The A Place in the Sun star is now appearing in reels across AR’s Instagram and Facebook. Read more

Mortgage-led tech firm OneDome has installed a new Head of Growth: Jason Bryant has been recruited to build relations with advisor firms around the UK, having spent the last 21 years with Mortgage Intelligence UK, most recently as Head of Sales based in Bournemouth. Read more

London-based PR agency Farrer Kane & Co has added a new Director to its property team. Katie Herbert has moved from rival global comms agency Instinctif Partners, where she led the Built Environment division. Battersea Power Station Development Company has announced a new CEO, recruiting Quintain boss James Saunders to lead the massive SW London regen project through what he calls “a pivotal moment in its journey.” BPSDC’s Interim CEO, Sam Cotton will leave the company at the end of April. Read more

London-centric property investor/developer Native Land has recruited an Investment Management Advisor to boost its relations across Asia. Based in Hong Kong, Will Richards has moved from Savills, where he was a Director in the Asia Pacific Capital Markets and Global Cross Border Investment teams in Hong Kong and Seoul.
